Training Programs

Merit understands the importance of a highly skilled and competitive workforce. To this end, Merit delivers a variety of training programs, from introductory construction and safety skills to supervisory training. While most courses are offered to both Merit member and non-members, Merit member employees receive specially discounted rates.

Merit NL is in the process of determining what our members training need sand interests are in order to plan future courses and seminars. We would like to hear suggestions from both members and non-members. Please contact Merit NL's office at (709) 576-3748 or merit@merit-nl.ca.

Registration

Please call the Merit NL office to register for courses. Please note that courses are subject to minimum enrolment quotas and may be cancelled due to lack of participation. You will be notified if your course is cancelled and payment will be refunded.

 

Supervisor Training Program (STP)

Merit's most popular training program, STP is designed for individuals in supervisory positions. Through a combination of in-class sessions and on-the-job training assignments,the program teaches a variety of topics designed to enhance supervisory and managerial skills.
